What gets counted
- Posts by type: end, corner, gate and line posts.
- Between the posts: panels, one per bay; or rails and pickets, with your picket width and gap; or mesh and wire by the roll, with as many rows as you need.
- Concrete: bags of the size you buy, worked out hole by hole.
- Hardware and finish: post caps, rail brackets, screws by the box, tension wire, tensioners, staples, gate hardware, stain by the can.
- Braces for stretched mesh and wire.
How it counts
Rails are counted bay by bay, from post to post. Posts are spread evenly along each run, never further apart than your maximum spacing. Hardware follows the fence: screws per picket and per rail, staples per post, stain from the fence's area and the number of faces.
Waste and loading
Extra for waste adds 5, 10 or 15 percent to what you order. Tick Loaded in front of a line once it is on the truck. Share the list sends the list to your supplier, with or without your prices.
Feet or meters
Spacing in feet, holes in inches, bags in pounds; or meters, centimeters and kilograms. Quantities are estimates: check them before you order.
